If you spend a decent amount of money on a bike, you should have a proper place to put it on. You don’t want to spend a high amount of money on a bike just to drop it on the garage floor or leave it anywhere. The least you want to do is take good care of it and have a nice place to store it when you’re not using it.

For my bikes, I use the bike stand Bike Nook. The first one I got was a gift from a friend, and I liked it so much, I didn’t hesitate to consider buying another one. Having the bike on a stand in a horizontal position won’t save you much space, especially if you have more than one.

On the Bike Nook, the bike stands vertically. The stand is so easy to assemble, even a kid can do it. You can easily adjust the height to fit your bike, and it comes with a strap to ensure the bike doesn’t fall to the side.

Since they’re standing up, you can have more bikes next to each, or in different places. Plus, you don’t need to lift your bike up and down as you would with a bike mount. You roll it back to put it in, or take the strap off and put it down and to roll it forward and keep going. If you have more than two or three bikes, you might want to consider multiple bike rack storage, or use different types of storage units, according to the place you want to use them on. For example, you can use the vertical stands for indoor storage, and hooks or wall mounts on the garage for smaller bikes.

Up and down it goes

When you’re looking for a bike stand or storage area, there are many things to consider. For example: Do you have enough space around your house? Is your bike too heavy for you to lift regularly? Can you make holes in a safe place to put on a wall mount? Do you have more than two bikes and too little space? Is the bicycle going to be on your way or, will there be something else nearby? Picture it. Consider the bike height, weight, and space areas you have available for storage.

The answers will help you get to the best type of bike stand, hooks, or wall mount for your bike. In my opinion, bike hooks are best for smaller bikes because there’s a slighter chance they’ll scratch or hit anything on the way. A wall-mount would be great for a bicycle you won’t mind lifting every time you need it.

Hopefully, this post will help you choose your first or next bike stand. Give your bike some love, store it in a decent place, and it will last you longer to enjoy more rides.
